A Pupil Referral Unit in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a resilient Learning Support Assistant to work with students who have been excluded from mainstream education. Pupils present with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, and additional SEND.

Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils in small class settings

Help manage challenging behaviour using positive strategies

Build trusting relationships to re-engage learners

Support emotional wellbeing and personal development

Ideal Candidate:

Experience in PRU, SEMH, youth work, or mentoring

Calm, consistent, and confident personality

Passion for supporting vulnerable young people
