Mechanical Project Manager
Meridian are working with a well-known Mechanical contractor based in Manchester that are now looking to grow their Project Management department. Working on commercial projects across the Manchester area, they specialise in the installation of Mechanical Building Services on projects such as universities, infirmaries, colleges, commercial venues, and hospitals. If you are an experienced Mechanical Project Manager looking for a role with a well-established contractor that work on Manchester-based projects, with a recognised name in the M&E market for over 25-years then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Manage project delivery from design and delivery until project handover, to ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant specification and drawings, standards, quality, and health and safety requirements whilst meeting the client's needs
Ensure operational efficiency and quality of work from the onsite engineers
Manage the project performance, ensuring deadlines are being met, and communicating effectively with your internal management team as well as across the external channels and supply chain
Produce risk and method statements for mechanical services contracts
Ensure each engineering contract operation is carried out profitably and on time
Attend client and supply chain meetings, design meetings, and regular site visits to manage progress
Co-ordinate daily activities of directly employed operatives
Handover contracts on completion and manage aftercare issues
The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the roleRequirements for the role:

Experience managing commercial projects from start to finish, particularly within the installation of Mechanical Building Services
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with people of various seniority level
Be able to work independently or with other member of the M&E team
Excellent customer-service skills
