REED Accountancy and Finance are actively recruiting a PART TIME Assistant Accountant / Accounts Manager for a family based Manufacturing company based near to Verwood. Managing one member of staff within the finance team, reporting into the Director of the Company.

Accounts Manager 

£40,000 FTE (pro rata for 25 hours per week) 

25 hours a week (4 days - flexile on hours) 

Overview

You’ll play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic decisions, and ensuring smooth operational processes across the business.

As an Assistant Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
• Preparing monthly management accounts to trial balance
• Managing day to day cashflow, banking and reconciliations
• Overseeing sales and purchase ledger accuracy and credit control
• Supporting payroll processes and monthly submissions using Sage (Proficiency in Excel also required). 
• Liaising with internal teams to ensure timely invoicing and accurate reporting

Qualifications & Experience

• Some experience in financial management, accounting, or similar senior finance roles
• Strong proficiency in Sage (preferred) or other accounting software
• Advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail
• AAT, ACCA, CIMA qualification or part-qualified (desirable) or Qualified by Experience 
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and maintain high standards of accuracy
