Role Title: Refrigeration Supervisor

Location: East Anglia

Hours of Work: 40 hours/week typically Monday - Friday (flexibility required 24/7)

Job Purpose:

The Refrigeration supervisor is crucial to the delivery of PPM, reactive and testing workstreams whilst supporting with technical assistance to all maintenance teams across the estate. This role will require you to manage, supervise, influence and build strong working relationships with the customer, internal teams and regional Refrigeration engineers.

The role is responsible for effectively planning and leading refrigeration teams to ensure all services are completed to the agreed standard and comply with all regulatory and company standards. This role is also responsible for overseeing all technical standards within the operation. You will be the technical expert and key account holder for FGas ensuring maintenance of our obligations to ensure our ongoing membership, in addition you will support and guide engineers through any training.

All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.

Key Accountabilities:

* Maintain high compliance and safety standards across all sites within your region.

* Ensure company H&S, quality and environmental procedures are communicated and adhered to by all in their daily work and customer specific rules are complied with.

* Monitor and ensure 100% completion of POWAs.

* Provide inhouse coaching & training where required, i.e. Tool box talks, injury prevention and PPE.

Communication

* Ensure clear, consistent, and proactive communication with colleagues, customers, and support functions.

* Respond to email enquires within 24 hours and phone enquires within 2 hours.

* Host weekly City share Teams meetings with all engineers.

* Host monthly (quarterly during peak) face to face cell meetings.

* Build a strong working relationship with store managers and contact them on every store visit.

Ownership

* Own the day-to-day running of your team — from job quality and safety to managing budget and making decisions that keep the operation running smoothly.

* Co-ordinate specific labour requirements to meet work demands, KPI targets by managing schedules, rotas including standby and holiday approvals.

* Responsible for the end to end recruitment process, including acting as the hiring manager.

* Monitor and manage engineers attendance (including absences, RTW interviews and welfare meetings).

* Ensure budget is managed effectively.

Productivity

* Drive team efficiency and service performance in line with contractual targets.

* Achieve all KPI (response, repair and first fix) targets.

* Monitor and manage Tech Utilisation.

* Ensure no open jobs over 90 days.

* Ensure quote approvals are progressed or cancelled within 45 days.

* Achieve 100% compliance PPM completion in month.

Engagement

* Create a motivated and connected team environment where people feel valued and involved.

* Provide high technical support to all level engineers within region.

* Complete monthly SCOPE performance check-in reviews.

* Complete My Journey reviews with full team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 2078/2079.

Ability to maintain and repair a range of refrigeration equipment

A working knowledge of the maintenance service within the FM industry is essential, with previous working knowledge of a multi-client contracted environment being desirable; and PPM and compliance background.

Previous experience of effectively leading and supervising a team is essential.

Previous experience of developing client relationships would be advantageous.

Strong PC literacy, with experience in extracting, collating and presenting performance data along with a good understanding of the CAFM.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent planning, organising, prioritisation and project management skills.

Strong results focus, takes accountability for own performance and that of the team.

Effective problem-solving and decision-making.

Highly flexible and self-starting. The role will have many challenges and a flexible approach will be needed.
