An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Global Licensing Manager to join a well‑established fashion branded supplier to the high street, managing licensing programmes across the UK, Europe and international territories. The role focuses on driving new licensing revenues, expanding categories and territories, and maximising performance of existing licensees.

Responsibilities

* Pursue new business opportunities across the brand portfolio, including conventional licensing, DTC, DTR and other strategic models.

* Build and nurture long term relationships with licensees, driving business development across new and existing categories and territories.

* Research markets and categories to identify white space opportunities, source prospective partners and conduct commercial and financial due diligence to secure the most qualified licensees.

* Exhibit at and attend key trade shows to seek and secure new business partnerships across the UK, Europe and international markets.

* Generate new and innovative ideas for product and category extensions that strengthen brand equity and drive incremental revenue.

* Lead commercial negotiation of license agreements, renewals, amendments and extensions, preparing definitive contracts for senior management approval.

* Oversee the legal contract process with internal and external counsel, including term sheets, contract execution, renewals and amendments, ensuring compliance with brand and legal standards.

* Partner with licensing agents on new category and territory expansion, ensuring all viable avenues are explored and evaluated.

* Develop, own and update short‑ and long‑term strategic licensing plans to meet or exceed budget, providing regular performance updates to senior management.

* Work closely with finance on annual planning and budget management, overseeing monthly revenue forecasting, royalty tracking and quarterly sales analysis.

* Conduct ongoing analysis of existing licensees, including category extensions, sales performance, business and marketing plans, and present clear recommendations to senior management.

* Communicate market and business trends to licensees and internal stakeholders, and participate in senior meetings to review performance and refine strategy.

* Collaborate with licensees to increase product penetration and presentation across all approved channels (online and offline), ensuring best‑in‑class brand execution at retail.

* Attend licensee seasonal launches, range reviews and updates to support commercial plans and ensure alignment with brand direction.

* Maintain a strong understanding of distribution channels, competitive activity and the retail landscape, feeding insight into licensing strategy and partner selection.

* Attend review meetings with internal design and licensees to monitor product, merchandising and marketing needs, ensuring ranges align with brand guidelines and commercial objectives.

Skills Required

* Proven experience in the licensing industry, ideally within fashion, softlines or consumer brands, managing multiple brands and partners.

* Strong commercial, sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of delivering revenue and margin growth from licensing programmes.

* Excellent communication and relationship building skills, able to influence at all levels internally and externally.

* Fully computer literate with strong Excel and presentation skills for forecasting, reporting and business reviews.

* High level of organisation, analytical ability and attention to detail, with a structured approach to contracts, performance tracking and compliance.

* Flexible to travel regularly across Europe and North America to meet licensees, visit retail, and attend trade shows and key events; additional international travel as required
