An established and highly regarded nursing home in Herefordshire is seeking a compassionate and clinically experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join its leadership team. With over 35 years of trusted service, this well maintained home offers a warm and spacious environment, designed to support both residents and staff in delivering outstanding, person centred care.

The home features multiple communal areas to encourage social interaction, a full time Activities Coordinator who plans engaging and meaningful activities, and an in house physiotherapy team dedicated to promoting residents' mobility and physical wellbeing.

The Role:

The Deputy Nurse Manager will work closely with the Registered Manager to lead and support the nursing and care teams, maintain excellent clinical standards, and ensure compliance with all care regulations. This role blends hands on nursing with leadership responsibilities, making it ideal for an experienced nurse ready to step into a broader management role.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the day-to-day management of the home
Overseeing care delivery and maintaining high clinical standards
Mentoring and supervising nursing and care teams
Managing medication, clinical documentation, and risk assessments
Assisting with audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance
Promoting a positive and professional atmosphere for residents and staff
Candidate Requirements:

NMC registered Nurse - essential
Previous experience in a senior or leadership nursing role
Strong clinical knowledge and confident decision making skills
Excellent communication, mentoring, and organisational abilities
Understanding of CQC standards and best practices in elderly care
Commitment to person-centred care and team development
