A growing tech-focused business in the Wakefield area is looking for a hands-on .NET Developer to join its in-house engineering team.

You’ll be joining a collaborative environment where developers sit side-by-side with design, print, and production teams to deliver real-world digital solutions. Systems you build will be used daily by major UK brands.

The role would suit someone with a strong backend grounding who is comfortable taking ownership, and helping to guide less experienced developers.

What You'll Be Working On:

• Moving from legacy .NET Framework to .NET 6+ and service-based architecture
• Supporting apprentices and contributing to a strong team culture
• Integrating with platforms like Adobe, Azure, and ElasticSearch
• Working with a mix of on-prem and cloud infrastructure

Tech Snapshot:

• C#, .NET (Framework and Core)
• Azure (Virtual Desktops, Event Grid, Cosmos DB, Azure Search)
• SQL Server, ElasticSearch
• InDesign Server, JavaScript, HTML
• React (aspirational)

What They’re Looking For:

• 1-5 years of commercial experience in .NET development
• A full-stack mindset, though stronger backend skills are fine
• Someone happy to work in a close-knit team on-site, Monday to Friday
• A good communicator who can work from rough ideas and still deliver clean results
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members would be a bonus

This is a high-autonomy, fast-delivery role in a business that values curiosity and ownership over red tape and layers of sign-off.

Note: This is a full-time, on-site role in Wakefield. Remote or hybrid working is not available due to the collaborative nature of the business.
