Let's be honest—some engineer roles are just about keeping the lights on. This isn't one of them.

Are you a Shift Engineer with an electrical bias, you will be supporting production performance, reduce downtime, and push reliability standards. You'll be part of a hands-on team maintaining a mix of high-speed kit and process systems across a fast-paced operation.

The business are going through major multimillion pound projects and advancements through their sites, which you will be apart of going forwards. With the right attitude and application, you would be in good stead to progress your career.

What You'll Be Doing

Responding to breakdowns and troubleshooting automation, electrical, and mechanical faults
Delivering PPM and asset care routines (not just waiting for things to fail)
Assisting with machinery installs and tech upgrades
Supporting reliability, root cause and improvement initiatives
Collaborating with the wider team to maintain safety, performance and compliance

What You'll Need

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering
Electrically qualified with examples of work
Recognised apprenticeship in a relevant discipline
A calm, logical approach to fault finding and problem-solving
The ability to work in a fast-moving and compliance-led environment
Good communication skills, proactive mindset, and team player attitude

Bonus Points For

Experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs
Confidence working with automated systems, robotics or process controls
Background in regulated environments (FMCG, pharma, etc.)
Familiarity with RCM, FMEA, and CI tools
