Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated, patient, and compassionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a specialist SEND school in Totton, supporting pupils aged 2-19 with a diverse range of needs. The school caters for children and young people with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties, autism, and a variety of communication, sensory, and physical needs.
With Primary and Secondary provision across two sites, the school offers a highly individualised, nurturing environment where pupils are supported to develop communication, independence, emotional wellbeing, and essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing personalised support to pupils with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and autism
- Supporting pupils with communication needs, sensory processing differences, and physical or medical needs (full training provided)
- Assisting with structured learning activities, therapeutic programmes, and differentiated curriculum tasks
- Promoting emotional wellbeing, safety, and positive engagement throughout the school day
- Supporting pupils with personal care, mobility, and independence where required
- Using calm, consistent, and nurturing approaches to build trust and reduce barriers to learning
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff across both school sites

- Hours:30 hours per week
- Working Pattern:08:50 - 15:25
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Type: Long-term, full-time, with temp-to-perm pathways available
- Pay Rate: From £14 per hour
Requirements
To be considered, you must:
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
- Provide professional references covering the last 24 months
- Hold a Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, education, health & social care, or have relevant SEND experience
