Job Description


  • High sense of urgency and accuracy
  • Capable of managing multi task simultaneously
  • Professional and accurate communication with Management, Sales Staff and Customer Service

Primary Task:

  • To purchase products/ services needed to fill Customer orders as well as maintain desired inventory levels.
  • Support Customer Service and Sales Staff with product information, availability, and pricing
  • Review daily the appropriate reports and job queues
  • Assist in the management of inventory in all branches to assure appropriate inventory levels
  • Issue Proof of Delivery (POD) information to participating Vendors for monthly rebates
  • Continue ongoing efforts to increase inventory turns through correct purchasing practices

Other Task:

  • Enter Vendor changes as needed and on a timely basis
  • Assist with the return of products to Vendors as needed
  • Monitor slow or non- moving inventory
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining Cycle Counting Procedures for client including all branches
  • research, source and price products for Customer Bids.
  • Work to decrease inbound freight to Client
