Hours: 37.5 Monday - Friday with oncall requirements

About the company:

Our service is located in North Flintshire, easily commutable from Liverpool, Warrington or Wrexham .

About the service:

This is a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for women who have severe and enduring mental illness and who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act. Women placed with us often come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or are stepping down from secure settings.

About the role:

Ensure that the highest standard of clinical care is provided, therapeutically based on a named nurse/team nursing approach

Co-ordinate clinical aspects of the hospital and to ensure a sound co-operation between the clinical departments in the interests of delivering an excellent service to patients

To be conversant with, and implement, all relevant policies, procedures and regulations, whether clinical or administrative or representing interface between the two areas

Update legal documentation in consultation with other colleagues in accordance with company guidelines, NMC guidelines, legislation and current research

Support staff in delivering a high standard of care through regular appraisals, training and development of evidence/research based practice

Participate in the Manager's on-call system to provide the second point of contact for ward based staff, outside of normal working hours

To have day-to-day line management responsibility for the clinical team

To work closely with the Hospital Manager to respond to matters arising, resolve concerns and provide cohesive leadership.

To act up as required by the Hospital Manager


About you:

We are looking for a senior and experienced RMN or RNLD with experience in a leadership role, supporting junior staff and completing supervisions. You will have a confident leadership style and be happy to get stuck in on the floor. You will have experience and good understanding of CQC inspections and be able to effectively take action where needed to ensure the highest levels of governance.
