  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, education, health, police, and other agencies to improve outcomes for children.

  • Ensure all casework is of a high professional standard and in accordance with local and national policies and best practices.

For Senior Practitioners / Advanced Social Workers, additional duties include:

  • Supervision and support of less experienced staff and students.

  • Practice development responsibilities such as contributing to training, induction, and reflective learning.

  • Modeling high-quality practice and acting as a source of expertise in complex case discussions.

  • Supporting Team Managers with quality assurance and promoting a learning culture within the team.

Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.

  • Proven experience working with children and families in statutory settings.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and best practice (e.g., Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together 2018).
