Company: MOXIE PEOPLE

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £35000 - £45000 per annum

Do you love turning complex CAD models into beautifully machined, high‑precision parts?

Ready to join a small, steady engineering team where your craft genuinely matters?

There's a real satisfaction in creating components that have to be spot‑on. If you take pride in your programming skills, enjoy the rhythm of a calm, well‑run workshop, and want to feel valued for the quality of your work, this could be the role that lets you thrive.

About the role

Moxie People are working with a long‑established precision engineering company as they look to welcome an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist into their close‑knit team. You'll be the go‑to person for turning 3D CAD models into efficient, accurate CNC programs, and machining a wide variety of precision parts to tight tolerances.

  • Creating, editing and optimising CNC programmes using STEP files and 3D CAD data
  • Programming with Fanuc control and producing parts across turning and milling
  • Setting and operating high‑quality Doosan machinery (Lynx 2100LSYB & DNM 4500)
  • Selecting tooling, proving out new programmes and ensuring accuracy at every stage
  • Inspecting components and solving machining challenges with a calm, methodical approach

What's on offer

  • £35,000 - £45,000 salary (experience dependent)
  • 42.5‑hour week, Monday-Friday
  • Overtime available
  • Pension scheme and generous holiday entitlement
  • A stable, growing engineering environment where quality, safety and pride in workmanship come first
  • The chance to influence programming methods, tooling choices and machining strategy

About you

You'll shine here if you're steady, solutions‑focused, and enjoy being trusted to get things right. You'll need:

  • Proven CNC programming experience across turning and milling
  • Confidence working from 3D models/STEP files and strong CAM knowledge (e.g. Fusion 360, Mastercam, SolidCAM)
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls
  • A solid understanding of tooling, speeds/feeds, and tight‑tolerance machining
  • A detail‑driven mindset and a love of problem‑solving
  • If you've worked with multi‑axis or mill‑turn machines before, even better - but it's not essential.

How to apply

If this sounds like the kind of workshop where you'd feel right at home, Moxie People would love to hear from you. Apply now or call Hayley @ Moxie on #removed# for a chat.
