Location: Retail Park, Farleigh Hill, Maidstone ME15 6RQ
Salary: £12.44 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) occasionally weekend work.
Permanent position

We are looking for a Driver for our Maidstone showroom.

Main Purpose of Role for a Driver

The Home Visit Driver is responsible for facilitating the sales of our chairs, sofas and beds by driving the comfort specialist to appointments, loading and unloading stock and ensuring that the van remains compliant and reflective of our premium brand. During down time, the driver would be expected to support with store DIY tasks, and help ensure that the showroom, as well as the van are reflective of a premium furniture brand.

Overview of position

· Driving colleagues to and from appointments safely, and in line with grand guidelines and the highway code.

· Safe loading and unloading of stock to help facilitate the appointment, help with our customers requirements.

· Complete daily checks using the smarter driver app and being responsible for the roadworthiness and safety of the van, working with driver support and logistics where applicable.

· To engage in regular health and safety training, so to ensure both the driver, Sales Assistant and customers are always operating with care and compliantly.

· Maintaining the van stock to a high standard, calling on support where required.

· Adhering to all company policies and procedures where necessary

· Supporting with light general upkeep of the showroom during downtime to ensure the store reflects a premium furniture brand.

Experience / skill required.

· A real passion for customer service and theHSLmission of “changing the way people think and feel about comfort.”

· Has the ability to establish strong, professional relationships with Comfort Specialists and the wider HSL family.

· Have good local knowledge to navigate locally and to know of any local road works.

· To be commercially aware of the opportunities within their allocated hubs and have the ability to identify, manage and grow sales.

· Attention to deal.

· Friendly, welcoming and caring attitude

· Be able to help sales Assistants when needed.

· With the roles been customer facing DBS check will apply.

· Full UK driving licence.

· There could be some heavy lifting with the positions when helping bring demo chairs for customers.

· Our stores are open every day, so it is important to have flexibility to work during the weekends as well as weekdays.
