Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.45pm

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Support the class teacher to set up the classroom
Support all children within the class
Provide 1:1 support with children who have additional learning needs
Provide phonics support to children in class
Help teacher to clear away at the end of each day
Provide intervention support to children struggling academically within the class
Support children with reading and writing 
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Requirements / Experience and Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a classroom
Have recently worked with children in an educational or other similar setting
Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEND) 
Ideally hold a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
DBS on the update service or be willing to have a new one processed
Able to provide professional references to cover the last two years of worK
