My client is looking for an experienced Head of Data & Analytics to enable and empower their senior leaders and colleagues across the business to use high impact Data & Analytics tools, technologies, and methodologies to drive business insights & improve business outcomes.

As the Head of Data & Analytics, your mission will be to continue to unlock the potential and value in Data & Analytics, Data science and general data disciplines to drive transformation and business benefit.

A key goal will be to drive the encouragement within the organisation to accept new ways of working and harness collaboration with multiple teams to provide growth opportunities and value from the power of Data & Analytics

Key Responsibilities:

Leading the Data & Analytics team to deliver best-in-class business outcomes:

  • Driving business transformation with data & analytics to generate business value
  • Driving continuous development of capabilities in multiple areas, e.g.,
    • Data & Analytics - Evolving both the data & the analytics capabilities needed to enable current and future business ambitions / ownership of Data & Analytics vision, strategy and roadmap.
    • Data Governance - Leading the Data Governance & Data Quality capability enterprise wide, strengthening the value of data as a strategic asset.
    • Data & Analytics Platforms - Provision of requirements to evolve the Data & Analytics platform and advance the product suite based on current and future business needs.
    • Data Culture - Continue to advance culture towards using Data & Analytics to make informed business decisions while communicating and demonstrating the business value of Data & Analytics.
  • Operationalise data & analytics strategy in line with agreed objectives and key results (OKRs) and in accordance with approved budget.
  • Monitor the workload of teams within Data & Analytics to ensure effective delivery of projects, key objectives, and desired outcomes.
  • Develop the Data & Analytics team to ensure we have the right breadth and depth of expertise and provide input on the resourcing and capability gaps we are likely to face in the future.
  • Work with CTPO to agree workforce planning & resource priorities for the Data & Analytics team.
  • Track progress of Data & Analytics priorities - specifically initiatives, timing, prioritisation and budget.
  • Own the standards, governance, and methodologies for data visualisation, storyboarding and Analytics model development & validation.
  • Be a data guardian for the organisation and ensuring that data is protected and standardised for use by business teams.
  • Maintain close relationship with vendors, technology teams, and other business teams to ensure existing and future needs can be delivered.
  • Promoting the use of data for causal analysis, to understand why things happen, and to identify levers that can deliver change - knowing how to create more of the desired outcomes and to reduce or eliminate the undesirable.
  • Using Data & Analytics to spark innovations that differentiate the organisation in a competitive market.
  • Deep understanding of latest market developments around Data & Analytics and how these could benefit the business.
