We’re delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of an HR Advisor to join their HR function on a fixed-term maternity cover contract from late April/early May 2026 through to September 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional already working in a generalist capacity who is looking for greater breadth, international exposure, and the chance to take on more responsibility within a growing global organisation.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, well-established team and work closely with an experienced Global HR Director, balancing day-to-day operational HR with involvement in wider people initiatives. The role offers a strong blend of structure and stretch, supporting employees and managers across the UK while also engaging with global colleagues — giving you valuable cross-border insight and experience.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll play a central role in keeping HR operations running smoothly, including:
HR Operations & Policy
- Managing HR administration, employee records and global job descriptions
- Maintaining HR policies and the UK employee handbook
- Overseeing Time & Attendance and producing accurate HR reports
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinating job requisitions, interviews, psychometric assessments and candidate screening
- Managing new starter documentation and the onboarding process
- Supporting managers to implement training schedules for new joiners
Engagement & Development
- Supporting DE&I, wellness and engagement activities
- Contributing to wider HR projects and global programmes, including the Global Employee Exchange
Payroll & Systems
- Preparing payroll amendments i.e starters/leavers/maternity/paternity/SSP and pension updates
- Supporting HR system queries and ensuring data accuracy
Employee Relations & Advice
- Handling day-to-day employee queries and supporting low-level ER matters
- Supporting investigation meetings and taking notes when required
- Ensuring GDPR and employment law compliance
Business Support
- Providing administrative support to UK Board members (travel, expenses, documentation)
- Producing monthly KPIs and ad hoc HR reporting
About You
We’re keen to speak with HR professionals who bring:
- Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Generalist with employee relations experience
- Confident HR systems knowledge and strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships
- Understanding of UK employment law
- Experience supporting payroll data preparation/input and working with an outsourced payroll provider (ADP exposure desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work proactively, independently and manage a varied workload
- CIPD desirable
