Aim of the role:The primary aim of this role is to become a subject matter expert in the Company's three service towers, providing in-depth analysis every month of costs to support the Divisional Teams.
The role will require the successful individual to develop a detailed understanding of all areas of the business.
Key responsibilities will include but are not restricted to the following:
- Leading the Cost of Sales team to ensure that Cost of Sales are correctly coded to customer contracts and accurately stated in the monthly management accounts
- Presentation of monthly Cost of Sales reconciliations to Commercial Finance Directors
- Management of 2 direct reports including their apprenticeship requirements and accountancy studies
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date balance sheet reconciliations
- Audit responsibility for Cost of Sales queries
- Ad hoc projects and financial analysis
- Develop positive working relationships with other key areas of the business including Commercial Finance and Accounts Payable
- Adherence to Redcentric Solutions Limited ISO09001 and ISO27001 certification standards:
- Compliance with Redcentric's policies and procedures
- Handling and protection of Redcentric information
- Reporting of security events
- Implementing appropriate policies and procedures
Person specificationThe successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following skills, attributes and experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 1-2 years post qualification experience, ideally in management accounts
- Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels
- Commercial awareness and ability to see the bigger picture
- Ability to work to deadlines, effectively communicating progress.
- Ability to work on own initiative and proactively solve any issues identified
- Excellent IT skills (particularly Excel)
- Analytical skills and comfortable manipulating large data sets
- Close attention to detail, ensuring consistency of financial information across reporting areas
Hours of workThe Company's standard working hours are Monday to Thursday from 9.00am until 5:30pm, and from 9.00am until 3:30pm on a Friday, with one hour for lunch.
