£50k-£60k (dependent on experience) + out to 10% bonus and benefits package.

Introduction to the company

The company is strengthening its group indirect procurement capability.
This is a new role with real ownership. You'll shape the indirect strategy, run key tenders, and take control of fleet.

You will be supported but not micromanaged, the senior leadership believe in letting the team have autonomy to do what they are best at.

Role and responsibilities

You'll lead a portfolio of indirect goods and services across the group, including fleet, logistics, marketing, facilities management, and GNFR.

You will:

* Build and deliver the group indirect procurement strategy.

* Create category strategies and put them into action end-to-end.

* Lead sourcing projects and market tenders.

* Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with suppliers.

* Own supplier and contract management, pricing, and service levels.

* Deliver KPIs across cost, cash, quality, service, and continuity of supply.

* Gather and use market intelligence to guide decisions.

* Own the group fleet and lead the fleet team.

* Ensure agreements use formal legal terms and conditions.

* Coach stakeholders on procurement topics and good practice.

* Spot savings and value opportunities and drive them through to results.

Key requirements (qualifications and skills)

Essential:

* 5+ years' experience in a fast-paced procurement team.

* Clear indirect category ownership experience.

* Greenfield indirect experience across areas such as: fleet, logistics, marketing, FM.

* Degree (or equivalent) and/or full CIPS membership (Level 6).

* Strong stakeholder management — able to influence and land change.

* Confident running tenders and negotiations end-to-end.

* Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.

Desirable:

* CIPS Ethical Procurement and Supply certificate.

* ASCM membership.

* Experience in distribution, engineering, or fluid power environments.
