Are you an experienced Residential Childcare Worker looking for flexible, rewarding work? We are recruiting passionate and skilled individuals for ad hoc/bank roles in residential childcare services across the Scottish Borders.

About the Role:

You'll be supporting children and young people in residential care who may have experienced trauma, neglect, or disrupted lives. These roles require resilience, empathy, and the ability to engage young people in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide day-to-day care and support for children and young people

* Promote safety, stability, and emotional wellbeing

* Build positive relationships and act as a role model

* Support behavioural management and care plans

* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Requirements:

* Experience working with children or young people in residential or similar settings

* SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People) or working towards it (preferred)

* Flexibility and reliability for shift-based work

* Strong interpersonal skills and a trauma-informed approach
