As our Head of Pre-Sales , you will be predominantly responsible for managing and leading the pre-sales function, supporting the sales team with technical and commercial understanding. We are leading the way in telematics, therefore thorough product and domain knowledge are required to present solutions that highlight the product’s features and benefits by understanding of the customer pain points and desired outcomes. You will play a pivotal part in supporting the growth of sales for the business; providing technical product sales support, presentation & demonstration support, proposal writing and analysing/producing sales quotations. This role is based at our Head Office in Nottingham with the expectation of travel 3 or 4 days per week to client meetings at their UK premises or our Nottingham office. There will also be the expectation for some occasional overseas work and we therefore require a flexible attitude to working hours. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, manage and develop the existing multinational Pre-Sales team Attend Senior Management meetings and represent the Business Development Department as required Ensuring a high level of communication, technical, business and operational skills within the department Will be required to possess broad portfolio and industry knowledge with, as required, specific detailed specialisms Ensure that Demonstration Equipment, Systems and Configuration are fully maintained Provide a high quality of product demos to internal and external customers. Ensuring consistency of good quality data and excellent presentation Contribution to the Product Development Roadmap and Return on Investment activities Responsible for communication of feedback to the Product Dept, of market requirements and priorities ensuring Microlise are offering appropriate products to appropriate markets Responsible for the organisation and undertaking of customer site visits by the Pre-Sales Consultants. Demonstrating an excellent understanding of customer processes and business needs. Document thereafter and present to relevant parties Ensure that Presales processes and procedures is well documented and that all relevant staff are proficient in their use Capture and measure sales and customer feedback on regular basis with regards to Pre-Sales quality / performance As required, work with Product Director and Marketing Team on the standardisation and content of all related documentation – Proposals, Pricing, Presentations, Product / Marketing Copy Produce relevant weekly and monthly KPI reports Ensure your team:- Provides assistance and technical support to Sales personnel to help grow business across all regions Provides Product/PreSales expertise to the Business Development function in pursuit of sales proposals Produces high quality solution proposals in a timely fashion Produces quotations (including Margin analysis) and ROI models as required Produces high quality customer requirements scopes of work and project handover documentation To be considered for this position, we are looking for: A background in client facing Pre-sales positions, having ideally managed a team of Consultants in a lead role Extensive experience in the Software industry, ideally within the telematics industry Expert understanding of sales and operations processes and methodologies in a software business Experience of working closely with cross functional teams during a period of progressive change and growth and communicating clearly around key milestones and highlighting risks and dependencies. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to articulate technical solutions in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience Our Head Office is located in Nottingham, however this is a home based role and you will be required to travel to clients across the UK, visiting the office when required Why Microlise?
