Electrical Shift Engineer - Premier Skyscraper, City of London

We are looking for a talented and motivated Electrical Shift Engineer to join the engineering team at one of London's most prestigious high-rise commercial buildings, just moments from Liverpool Street Station.

This is an exciting opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer with a solid background in building services maintenance, looking to work in a critical environment and take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on all electrical systems across the site

* Diagnosing and repairing faults on lighting, power distribution, control panels, and BMS systems

* Supporting building services systems including:
- AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, fans, extract systems, and HVAC plant

* Assisting with statutory compliance and completing accurate shift reports/logs

* Collaborating with a professional multi-skilled team to maintain high standards in a 24/7 operation

Requirements:

* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent e.g. City & Guilds, BTEC)

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)

* Solid experience in commercial building maintenance, ideally in a high-rise or critical environment

* Confident maintaining general building services plant (AHUs, pumps, motors, etc.)

* Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach

Desirable (Not Essential):

* BMS monitoring experience

* Mechanical knowledge or multi-skilled background

* Experience working with HV systems

* HVAP (High Voltage Authorised Person) training provided - AP bonus paid upon qualification

Package Includes:

* Up to £54,000 basic salary (depending on experience)

* Continental shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off
