QED Legal are proud to representing a leading Teesside law firm who are looking for a legal cashier to join their busy team.The firm are looking for a dynamic and detail orientated professional to who are looking to advance in their legal finance career.This role offers a diverse range of accounting and administrative tasks, providing a fantastic opportunity to develop and acquire new skills.Key Responsibilities:
  • Billing and Completions: Handle billing processes and manage completions efficiently.
  • Transaction Processing: Manage day-to-day transactions with precision.
  • Bank Statements: Post client and office bank statements accurately.
  • Reconciliations: Perform thorough reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Departmental Support: Provide robust support to all legal departments.
  • Administration: Conduct archiving and general administrative duties.
  • Audit and Control: Assist with audit processes and general control reviews.
  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to Solicitor Accounting Rules.
This role is dynamic and varied, offering you the chance to learn all aspects of the finance function. Full training, supervision, and support will be provided by a welcoming team of four professionals who are eager to bring you on board.Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Previous experience as a Legal Cashier.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Good knowledge of Excel.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Proactive Attitude: Willingness to embrace new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Adaptability: Ability to learn quickly while maintaining precision.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel to our Newcastle office occasionally as needed.
