Third in Charge (Level 3) – Up to £33,000

Our client, an outstanding Ofsted-rated nursery is looking to for a Third In Charge to join their growing nursery. Children move through baby, toddler, and preschool spaces designed to support independence and school readiness, with regular access to a garden and forest school. As Third in Charge, you’ll support daily operations while staying involved in practice and maintaining consistency across rooms.

• This role requires recent experience as a Room Leader or above in a nursery setting.
• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential.

What You’ll Need

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years
• Experience as a Room Leader or above  
• Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding
• Confidence supporting staff and contributing to leadership

What You’ll Do

• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery alongside senior staff
• Step into leadership responsibilities when required
• Guide and support room teams to maintain consistent practice
• Help plan and deliver engaging activities in line with EYFS
• Monitor children’s development and ensure accurate records
• Maintain high standards of care, safety, and safeguarding
