Our client is expanding and taking some major projects so needs a new Lighting Designer with experience from Lighting Consultancy. A variety of amazing projects await the new Lighting Designer from a variety of sectors including Retail and Hospitality. Please send CV and Portfolio.

Responsibilities


· To assist with all projects delegated to you by the Directors, Associates, Senior Designers and project Lighting Designers whether Fee based or Design and Supply.


· You will learn the lighting design process through working alongside Senior experienced lighting designers on both large and small scale projects across all sectors including but not limited to hospitality, general leisure, retail, commercial office, residential and external projects.


· To design and assist with ongoing rollout projects as required by the Directors, Associates, Senior Designers and project Lighting Designers.


· To put together detailed specifications and costings for all projects delegated to you.


· To liaise with manufacturers on specification and pricing.


· To develop relationships with end clients, architects, interior designers, M&E consultants and developers.


· To assist the Associates, Directors, Senior Designers and Project Lighting Designers in ensuring client maintains a high level of design and technical output.


· To assist with the design and development of bespoke fittings and specials for projects as required and liaise with clients and manufacturers at all stages to ensure the final product meets with the required brief. You must ensure client sign off on all drawings prior to manufacture.


· To help develop relationships with existing and new manufacturers and suppliers for bespoke fittings.


· To represent the company at industry events such as trade shows, manufacturer visits, conferences, award ceremonies.


· To continually research and ensure you are up to date with the latest developments in light fittings, lamp sources and associated equipment through reading trade publications, trade shows and manufacturer meetings and showroom visits.


· To keep the design team updated with new ideas for feature and bespoke lighting
