Our clientOur client is a Group that owns a factory in Greater Manchester, that has benefitted from a recent significant increase in volumes. The opportunityThey are looking to appoint an experienced Plant Manager, to take ownership for effective leadership and management for the site from purchasing of raw materials to despatch to customers. You will work closely with the long serving team to maximise efficiency and benefit from wider expertise within the group on best practise.  As Plant Manager, you will have full P&L responsibility for the site that produces products for the wider retail and hospitality sectors.  This is a long standing site that also has challenges in availability and reliability of assets, as such considering the right capex investment for the future is also key.  About youAs an experienced Plant Manager, you will have had full P&L responsibility for a customer focussed batch manufacturing site.  With multi-disciplinary management experience, you will demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, develop your team to deliver a high quality product on time in full to customers.  You will have previous experience in managing a manufacturing plant through a period of change to improve performance through your team i.e. growth, new product launches, change of ownership.  Well developed communication skills will be key to success, able to develop and execute a factory improvement plant with your team, coach your managers to develop their teams, give confidence to Group/customers whilst building a positive improvement minded culture from shop floor up.  This is an exciting opportunity to take a lead role as Plant Manager in the modernisation of a successful manufacturing plant.
