Maintenance Supervisor Location: Kent Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience. 

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our client's team during a period of significant growth and development. This role is ideal for someone who can lead, coach and motivate a fast-paced engineering team while ensuring operational performance, equipment reliability and high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the engineering team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all site equipment.
  • Plan and oversee daily engineering workloads, including preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure machinery, production equipment, and supporting systems are effectively set up, calibrated and maintained.
  • Carry out hands-on engineering tasks as required, acting as both operator and maintainer when necessary.
  • Monitor equipment performance, diagnose faults and implement timely solutions to minimise downtime.
  • Drive improvements in equipment reliability and support achievement of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) targets.
  • Maintain accurate engineering records, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
  • Work collaboratively with production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support the introduction of new technology, processes, and equipment as the facility scales.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in an engineering supervisory or senior engineering role within manufacturing.
  • Strong technical understanding of production machinery, packaging systems or relevant automation equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues.
  • Familiarity with OEE metrics, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and team-management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Foundational understanding of carbonated liquid processing or filling systems (advantageous in this environment).

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience within beverage, bottling, or food manufacturing environments.
  • Formal qualifications in engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
