Static Test Technician, Cambridge, (6-Month Contract), £13.88 p/h

As a Static Test Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting all aspects of static structural testing, including the setup, execution, and breakdown of test units, as well as maintaining the machine shop and assisting with special projects.

Static Test Technician Responsibilities

Mark up test units (XYZ coordinates), including drilling and coordination with the Conformity Inspection team
Fabricate whiffle tree branches and spreader plates according to test plans
Set up, break down, and reassemble test rigs for directional testing
Maintain calibrated measuring equipment and ensure machinery is in good working order
Support test scheduling with the Team Leader and follow all Health & Safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Flexible approach to working hours
Strong problem-solving skills under time constraints
