Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-regarded primary school in Bitterne to recruit a dedicated SEN TA with specific experience supporting pupils on the autism spectrum. This is a rewarding, full-time role supporting a child on a 1:1 basis, with the aim of helping them thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

What we're looking for:
Proven experience supporting children with ASD in a classroom setting
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual needs
Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for inclusive education

The role will involve:

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored support

Supporting emotional regulation, communication, and social development

Encouraging engagement in classroom activities and promoting independence

Creating a safe, structured environment where the pupil can flourish

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
