Role: Workshop Controller
Location: Southport
Salary: £40,000 Basic | OTE £46,000+ (Uncapped Bonus)

Richard Abson Group are proud to be working with a well-established main dealership in Southport to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and organised automotive professional to take control of a busy, high-performing workshop and play a key role in its continued success.

The Role

As Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of a workshop consisting of 11 Technicians and supporting 3 Service Advisors. You will ensure smooth workflow, maximum efficiency, and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Managing and allocating daily workloads to 11 Technicians

* Supporting Service Advisors in managing customer expectations

* Ensuring all servicing and repair work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on time

* Monitoring productivity and workshop performance

* Accurately recording Technician time

* Writing clear technical reports and recommendations

* Maintaining high service standards and customer satisfaction levels

The Package

* £40,000 Basic Salary

* £6,000+ Uncapped Bonus (Realistic OTE £46,000+)

* Monday-Friday 8:00am-6:00pm

* 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30am-12:30pm)

The Ideal Candidate

* Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or Senior Workshop Supervisor within a main dealership

* Strong leadership and organisational skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

* Excellent communication skills

* Driven to maximise efficiency and profitability
