Deputy Nursery Manager – Level 3 Early Years | Up to £36,000 | Full-Time

 

We are currently looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join a supportive and inspiring nursery team. This role is ideal for a Level 3 qualified early years professional with previous experience as a deputy manager, who is passionate about delivering high-quality childcare and supporting staff development.

 

Working 40 hours per week, the successful candidate will help lead the nursery, contribute to day-to-day operations, and ensure children enjoy a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while making a real difference in children’s early learning experiences.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager or in a similar leadership role within early years.

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Ability to inspire and support a diverse team of early years practitioners.

  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and high-quality childcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager in running the nursery effectively and maintaining high standards of care.

  • Lead and mentor staff, promoting continuous professional development and team engagement.

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate stimulating activities in line with EYFS and early years best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records, including staff files, care plans, and reports.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and the wider team to foster a collaborative environment.

  • Contribute to nursery policies, operational planning, and the delivery of high-quality early years education.
