St George's and the Church of the Resurrection are at the beginning of an exciting revitalisation journey, part of the Diocese of Lincoln's Strategic Development Fund programme. Together, we are working as one church across two locations to grow worshipping communities, deepen discipleship, and strengthen mission in the richly diverse areas of Crosby and Berkeley.

This revitalisation is rooted in an inclusive, sacramental Anglo‑Catholic tradition, seeking spiritual and numerical growth across Scunthorpe's urban communities.

We are now seeking an Online Worship Connector & Administrator to shape and strengthen our digital presence, ensuring that online worship, communication, and community engagement are accessible, welcoming, and mission‑focused.

Who We Are

Our two churches serve a combined population of around 20,000 people in the richly diverse areas of Crosby and Berkeley. St George's sits in one of the 5.5% most deprived parishes in the Church of England and is connected physically to the Crosby One Community Centre, serving people of many cultures and faiths. The Church of the Resurrection sits at the heart of a large housing estate and is rediscovering its place as a community hub.

We are committed to becoming inclusive, modern Anglo‑Catholic communities, welcoming all and reflecting the diversity of our parish. We especially encourage applications from UKME/GMH candidates, LGBTQ+ people, those with disabilities, and those returning to work.
