CAD Designer 
A leading provider of energy solutions is expanding its UK design and engineering team to support growing demand across industrial and commercial CHP (Combined Heat and Power) projects. With a strong track record in delivering high-efficiency, low-carbon energy systems across the UK and Europe, the company is committed to driving innovation in distributed generation and thermal optimisation.
We are seeking an experienced CAD Designer to support the technical development of CHP energy systems, including mechanical, electrical, and piping layouts. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role ideal for someone with strong CAD skills and a background in energy, process engineering, or building services.
CAD Designer 
Responsibilities:

Produce high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings for CHP systems including generators, heat recovery units, piping, electrical layouts, and control systems.
Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and technical input to create accurate design documentation.
Prepare layout drawings for plant rooms, modular skids, and site-specific installations.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural teams to ensure integrated design delivery.
Maintain drawing version control and adhere to internal documentation standards.
Collaborate with engineers during design reviews, incorporating feedback and revisions.
Ensure all drawings comply with relevant safety regulations and industry codes.
Support procurement and construction teams with fabrication and installation-ready drawings.
Manage CAD libraries and standardise drawing templates and practices.CAD Designer 
Requirements:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar CAD software.
Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems and plant layout design.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design documentation.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and schematics.
Good communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.CAD Designer
