About Us: As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented Management Accountant to support our finance operations across the group. The Role: As a Management Accountant, you’ll be responsible for group-wide financial reporting and analysis, while managing and mentoring a small team. Your responsibilities include:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, reconciliations, budgets, cash flow statements, variance analysis, and commentary.
- Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data and trends to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Performance Reporting: Develop and present comprehensive reports that assess business performance and identify emerging trends.
- Risk Management: Improve and implement risk mitigation practices, along with robust internal controls and procedures.
- Cost Management: Review and analyse cost structures, suggesting improvements to enhance profitability.
- Statutory Reporting: Collaborate with external accountants to prepare accurate and compliant statutory financial statements.
- Team Supervision: Lead and mentor the internal accounting team, ensuring high standards and consistent output.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure full compliance with relevant financial regulations, internal policies, and audit controls.
- Supervise payment runs and cash control
Key Skills & Experience:
- CIMA or ACCA qualified, or final-stage part-qualified.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Management Accountant role.
- Strong technical understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- A natural problem solver with strong analytical thinking.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
