Accounts Payable Administrator
Part-time | £28,000 FTE | Coventry (Predominantly Office-Based)
Reed Accountancy Coventry is working with an established business based in Coventry to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator. This is a part-time position, offering 20–25 hours per week. The role is mainly office based, with the option to work from home on Fridays.
The role would suit someone who is confident working across both Accounts Payable and Sales Ledger, supporting the Financial Controller and wider team.
Main responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and within required timeframes
- Raising and managing purchase orders in line with company purchasing policies
- Monitoring open purchase orders to ensure delivery targets are met
- Regularly clearing down and updating purchase order data
- Acting as the first point of contact for purchase-related queries internally and externally
- Managing petty cash and processing employee expenses
- Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations
- Maintaining approved supplier documentation and supplier master data
- Completing new supplier request forms
- Providing ad-hoc support and holiday cover to the Accounts Payable Supervisor
- Answering external telephone calls as part of shared duties within the office
About You
The position would suit someone who enjoys working through processes from start to finish and is comfortable supporting a busy finance function.
Desired skills and experience
Strong Excel and general IT skills
Well, organised with good attention to detail
Reliable and punctual
Previous Accounts Payable experience within a small business environment is desirable
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an advantage, but not essential
