This Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Secondary school (UK's governing body for standards in education), based in Berkshire, United Kingdom is looking to appoint a Head of Science to start in September 2023, on a full-time basis. Working in this Secondary school as part of an established team, the desired Head of Science will have a proven track record and can offer Physics and/or BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) Forensics and Applied Science.

To be considered for the role of Secondary Head of Science you will have:

  • Experience of teaching Physics and/or BTEC Forensics and Applied Science
  • A passion for the progress of Secondary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Full-time availability
  • Bachelor of Education / Post Graduate Diploma of Education / or equivalent teaching degree with current teacher registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Bachelor of Education / Post Graduate Diploma of Education / or equivalent teaching degree with current teacher registration
