The Role:
Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with an established and growing construction company to find a dynamic and detail-oriented Buyer. As a Buyer in the construction sector, you will play a pivotal role in managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials, equipment, and services needed to deliver high-quality construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and purchasing materials, plant, and equipment for construction projects.
Building strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating competitive pricing.
Managing supplier performance and ensuring quality, delivery, and compliance with specifications.
Working closely with project managers and site teams to ensure seamless material delivery.
Ensuring the procurement process is cost-effective and aligned with project budgets and timelines.
Supporting the creation and review of supplier contracts and agreements.
Managing stock levels and inventory control to avoid delays in project schedules.
Keeping up-to-date with market trends, pricing, and product innovations in the construction sector.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Buyer in the construction or related industries.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency with procurement software and MS Office.
A degree or relevant qualification in a construction or business-related field is desirable.
