Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Belfast (Hybrid - 2 days per week in office)

Overview:
We're working with a leading digital consultancy known for delivering scalable software solutions across eCommerce, fintech, and media. They're hiring a Java Developer to join their growing Belfast-based engineering team. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact digital products within a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

You'll contribute to full-stack development across a mix of client projects and internal platforms, with a focus on writing clean, well-tested Java code as part of an Agile team.

Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and enhance backend services using Java and related technologies

• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product leads to deliver full-stack features

• Integrate with third-party APIs and services

• Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and sprint planning

• Write unit and integration tests, ensuring code is robust and production-ready

• Contribute to architectural discussions and tech decision-making

Required Experience:

• Solid commercial experience with Java (Spring Boot preferred)

• Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration

• Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)

• Agile delivery experience

• Strong problem-solving skills and team collaboration

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Experience with frontend tech (e.g. React, Angular)

• Interest in product-driven or design-led development environments
