SEND Teaching Assistant Needed Now in Beeston
Fantastic opportunities have arisen for Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants in schools in Beeston, Nottinghamshire. The school have a large number of pupils with various special needs, ranging from moderate learning difficulties to complex and profound needs.
The post requires talented Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants who are flexible, enthusiastic and dedicated to supporting children with educational needs to join their team of dedicated staff.
All applicants must be NVQ Level 2/3 qualified or equivalent and have a minimum of 6 months' experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities. Support workers are welcome to apply.
You must have sound knowledge of working in a variety of roles with children with special needs as this role will require the successful candidates to be very flexible. You will need to feel confident working 1 to 1 with a child or as part of a close nit team with children with varied needs. If you are able to plan your own sessions this would be a definite advantage.
The role will include:
- Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
- work with students who require additional support
- Leading group work
- 1to1 support
- Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
