Elevation Recruitment Group’s Skilled Shop Floor Team are working with a well-established, large-scale tool manufacturing business in Rotherham that continues to grow year on year. Due to increased demand, they’re looking to add an experienced Production Machine Operator to their team.

If you’re comfortable running machinery, confident with changeovers and settings, and take pride in producing quality work — this one’s for you.

Monday – Thursday:6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am

Friday:6am–1:30pm / 1:30pm–9pm / 9pm–4:30am

Overtime available during busy periods.

You’ll be responsible for operating machinery within manufacturing cells, ensuring machines are correctly set, maintained and producing to the required quality standards. You’ll work independently at times, using your judgement to resolve minor issues and maintain output.

• Setting and condition setting machinery for specific jobs

• Adjusting machine conditions to resolve quality concerns

• Completing daily and weekly asset care checks

• Maintaining KPI targets including 5S, scrap reduction, safety and productivity

• Carrying out hourly quality checks and recording scrap accurately

• Supporting minor machine maintenance and tooling upkeep

• Assisting Technicians when required

• Working to production targets and forecasts

• Maintaining strict adherence to health & safety procedures and SOPs

Essential:

• Experience operating plant machinery such as grinders, CNC machines, press machines or heat treatment equipment

• Background in a manufacturing environment

• Experience working to production targets

• Ability to inspect your own work and maintain quality standards

• Comfortable standing for long periods

Desirable:

• FLT, pallet truck or overhead crane experience
