Our client is a highly-rated primary school in Knowsley, Liverpool, dedicated to providing exceptional education for children with special educational needs. Role & Responsibilities

As a dedicated SEN Teacher, you will be instrumental in shaping the lives of young learners with autism, ADHD, and severe learning difficulties. You'll craft engaging and tailored lessons, creating a structured and consistent classroom environment where these children can thrive. You'll be empowered to make a real difference, working collaboratively within a supportive team.

Main tasks include

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the primary curriculum.
Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students with complex needs.
Employ effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
Provide personal care support as required.
Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., therapists, teaching assistants) to develop and implement individualised education programs.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching children with special educational needs in a UK setting
Experience working with children aged 12-18 months in a designated special provision
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Passion for supporting children with complex needs
Commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching practices
Availability Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PMPlease note that this is a full-time, long-term contract starting in September. We are unable to support applications from overseas candidates at this time.
