Overview

We are seeking an organised and proactive Transport Planner to join a highly supportive and established transport team based in Doncaster. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in transport planning who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing daily driver schedules within a pallet network operation. The successful candidate will benefit from clear progression opportunities and a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily routes for 12 drivers, ensuring timely deliveries and collections.
• Maintain efficient operations within a pallet network environment, optimising resource use and route efficiency.
• Monitor driver progress, addressing any issues to maintain service standards.
• Work closely with the wider transport team to support smooth day-to-day operations.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, company procedures, and safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Transport Planning is essential.
• Knowledge or experience of working within a pallet network (desirable).
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Competent IT skills, ideally with transport or planning systems.
