We're hiring for a skilled CNC Miller to join an engineering firm based in Glossop to set and operate a range of CNC machines. We are recruiting for both millers and those with experience of operating twin spindle machines.

What's on offer?

* £15.00 to £17.50 per hour

* Hours: 40 hours per week

* Two shift patterns available

What will you be doing as a CNC Miller?

* Setting and operating a range of CNC machines, including multi-axis and sliding head (possibly programming experience dependant)

* Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards, right first time

* Finishing components to the highest quality standards

* Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality

* Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards

What do you need?

* Experience as a CNC Miller, setter and operator, preferably with experience of operating 3-axis and/or sliding head machines

* Qualified through apprenticeship or HND

* Experience of programming FANUC controls will be beneficial

* The ability to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.

* Experience of CMM desirable

* Focused on quality with high level of attention to detail
