We are seeking a reliable and organised Food Technology Technician to join our school in Thamesmead on a temporary basis from after the half-term break until July. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy and creative Food Technology department and contribute to students' practical learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing ingredients, equipment and materials for practical food lessons
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen/classroom environment
* Assisting teachers during practical sessions when required
* Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies
* Ensuring all health and safety and food hygiene standards are met
* Cleaning utensils, appliances and work surfaces after lessons
* Supporting displays and general classroom organisation
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Good organisational and time-management skills
* An understanding of basic food hygiene and kitchen safety
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A proactive and flexible attitude
* Experience in a school or kitchen environment (desirable but not essential)
