The Role - SEN Learning Support Assistant

Qualiteach are looking for a patient and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist PMLD school in Barnet from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for someone with experience supporting children or young people with complex physical, sensory, and medical needs.

As an SEN LSA, you will be supporting students aged 4-19, many of whom are non-verbal and require support with personal care, physiotherapy routines, and alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, switches, and eye gaze technology.

You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and medical staff to ensure students receive the best possible care and education in a safe, nurturing, and highly specialised environment.

The school offers a holistic, person-centred approach to education, with small class sizes, a high staff-to-pupil ratio, and outstanding multidisciplinary support, including on-site physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and nursing staff.

Staff receive ongoing training and support to ensure they feel confident and equipped to meet the diverse needs of the students.
