Avalon are currently supporting a client of ours within Staffordshire for recruitment of a Housing Officer.

The Opportunity:

My client in Staffordshire is seeking a generic Housing Officer for an initial 3 month period. This role shall cover Burton and have a caseload of around 30 through the region. The main areas of the role shall be within Tenancy, Generic Housing and minimal ASB.

The successful candidate will:

* Provide advice and information to our customers on all tenancy matters

* Provide a fast and efficient service dealing promptly with tenancy changes, mutual exchanges, successions and assignments

* Work in partnership with Liaise with external agencies and tenant representatives

* Effectively manage casework including anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, hoarding, property condition and abandonments, assessing risk and responding appropriately

* Take prompt and appropriate action to deal with any tenancy breaches

* Work in partnership with internal colleagues to provide a holistic service for our customers

* Prepare and manage the creation of legal paperwork for legal submission

* Provide, where required, a responsive and efficient estate management service

* £21.00 - £26.00 per hour via Umbrella

* Full-time working pattern - 37.5hours

Requirements:

* Must have proven experience within a Housing Officer post in either a Housing Association, Local Authority or Charity

* Basic DBS in place

* Full UK drivers licence with access to a vehicle
