Up to £425.00pd PAYE Contract (+ 33 days paid leave) or up to £560.00pd via approved umbrella

Potential for permanent position

To provide information to HPC Project stakeholders on the implementation progress of the very latest design configurations into the physical Systems, Structures and Components under procurement and construction at HPC. The post holder will be expected to identify solutions and mitigation to any identified issues order to ensure Project Milestones are approached with the required level of consistency between the Physical Configuration and the associated Configured Design (Configuration Information). This role will be responsible to ensure any "configuration gaps" or Open Points are recorded, understood and addressed by appropriate risk mitigation activities.

Principal Accountabilities

* Develop and maintain an understanding of the scope and schedule of each of the ICMs and the extent of physical equipment required to be handed over to Commissioning at FTC for each one.
* Work with others in the Technical and Engineering Programme to Identify any Design Changes and Open Points that are potentially Impacting the Systems, Structures and Components associated with each of the ICMs. Understand the sequence and schedule for the closure of the Engineering actions including the issue of the technical scope of implementation actions. (e.g Contractor Transfer Sheet).
* Interface with the Project Managers (PMs), Senior Project Managers (SPMs) and Area Programme Managers to ensure physical configuration has a focus in their delivery schedules and highlight any ICM Schedule Risks, as a result of physical configuration.
* Develop understanding of the key activities in the IWS to ensure clarity in the "need dates" for the Engineering studies, milestone and Open Point closures. Engage with PMs to ensure the change Implementation actions are adequately reflected in the IWS or other local planning arrangements.
* Lead optioneering with Engineering, Delivery and Commissioning to find "Best for Project" solutions to any ICM schedule risks.
* Develop tools and reporting structures to simplify and automate data collection processes.
* Establish the necessary metrics and reporting to provide visibility of Physical Configuration status.
* Work with PMs and SPMs to provide reporting and mitigation action suggestions to Programme Board discussions.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

* Technical, commercial, and strategic awareness with evidence of proactively building strong relationships with stakeholders across projects including leadership of small multi-disciplinary teams.
* Proven experience in the development of systems, tools or processes for tracking design or delivery progress.
* Experience within the UK (Or Europe/overseas) Nuclear industry or similar high hazard industry
* Knowledge of configuration management principles and processes
* Experience of data presentation to different level stakeholders.
* Well versed in project management principles and processes


* Knowledge of EPR power station design
* Experience of working in an international, multi-cultural environment
