Oxford-based Council | Hybrid Role | Interim Position £13.12 PAYE / £16.52 Umbrella per hour

Are you ready to make a real impact in Oxford’s private rented housing sector? We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, detail-driven individual to join our client’s Selective Licensing Team ASAP while the council recruits permanently!

Why This Role Matters

Since September 2022, all private rented homes in Oxford require a licence under the Selective Licensing scheme. With nearly 50% of Oxford homes privately rented, this work is essential to ensuring landlords meet safety and management standards

You’ll be part of a busy, proactive team ensuring the smooth administration of this important scheme — and you’ll be doing work that directly benefits Oxford residents .

What You’ll Be Doing

Every day will be different! You’ll be:

Handling customer calls Responding to a high volume of emails Using detailed procedures & complex systems to process licensing applications Working in a fast-paced environment where processes evolve with legislation Delivering excellent customer service to landlords and residents Learning quickly and applying new information confidently

This is a brilliant entry-level opportunity, and full training will be provided!

Hybrid Working (with initial office-based training)

For the first 2 months, you’ll be in the Oxford office while you train.After that? Enjoy mostly remote working, with only 1–2 office visits per month. perfect for flexibility!
