Focus Search and Selection have partnered with a reputable Chartered Financial Planner who is seeking a Senior Financial Planner Support to join their growing team.
As a Senior Financial Planner Support, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive administrative and technical assistance to the Financial Planners, ensuring the smooth delivery of a high-quality financial planning service to clients.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Support Lead to provide high-level assistance to Financial Planners and Directors, ensuring clients receive consistent, efficient, and professional service. The role also includes coaching and mentoring team members, maintaining accurate client records, and ensuring smooth internal processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize client review packs and related documentation.
- Provide proactive support to Financial Planners and Directors, including resolving urgent or complex issues.
- Draft clear, accurate client correspondence, liaise with providers, and maintain audit trails.
- Keep planners and team members informed of progress; escalate concerns or complaints when necessary.
- Attend client meetings to support planners and present financial analyses as needed.
- Conduct pre- and post-meeting reviews, ensure meeting notes and action items are completed promptly.
- Mentor junior team members to build skills and maintain high service standards.
- Support development of procedures for complex financial products and ensure team compliance.
- Manage client holdings on platforms, process instructions accurately, and monitor cash weightings.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance office efficiency and workflow.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain personal development records, tracking training objectives and outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or equivalent experience; CPD and mandatory compliance training.
- Experience providing high-quality financial services support and developing others.
- Skilled in producing client documentation, managing complaints, and handling technical queries.
- Familiarity with process improvement and financial systems is desirable.
