As a result, alongside several consortium partners; Balfour Beatty have been selected by BP (British Petroleum) to construct a first-of-a-kind fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage which is a key driving force behind plans to make Teesside the UK’s first decarbonised industrial cluster.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced EC&I Completions Engineer to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project based at our new site in Redcar-in-Cleveland on Teesside.

What you'll be doing

As an EC&I Completions Engineer you will have the following responsibilities;

  • Oversee multi-discipline completions from construction through to commissioning
    using EASY PLAN or equivalent systems.

  • Manage and maintain the completions database ensuring all documentation and
    certifications are accurately populated and traceable.

  • Lead the execution and monitoring of punch lists, ATEX inspections, and work orders to support smooth project handover.

  • Support the migration and integrity of project data, ensuring compliance with
    engineering and quality standards.

  • Interface with cross-functional teams to drive progress, resolve issues, and report
    completions status.



  • Integrate 3rd party scopes (Vendors & Subcontractors) and data into the overall
    completions system and work with external parties to aid successful delivery of the
    work scope.

  • Attend and guide progress meetings while building relationships and maintaining
    regular client / subcontractor contact.

  • Ensure project documentation and files are maintained in line with company
    procedures.

  • Prepare and present detailed MC information by system & subsystem for use by project team.

  • Report slippages against project baseline and advise potential impact on project critical activities.


Who we're looking for

  • Good understanding of EC&I systems and tag take off

  • Proven experience in completions and certification roles across large-scale energy or
    industrial projects (onshore/offshore).

  • Proficient in managing completions databases and systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of technical
    documentation.

  • Strong communicator, capable of liaising across engineering, construction, and
    commissioning teams
